But the thing that surprised me the most in Gurman’s description is the controllers. Controllers do have not the tracking ring like the ones of Quest 2 and have not onboard cameras like the ones of Quest Pro (I guess they would have been too expensive). Walking with Cybershoes requires physical effort : you have to keep walking and keep rotating the chair, and this is far more tiresome than using the thumbsticks on your controllers to move/teleport in the game. Cybershoes for Quest are compatible with all games that support Gamepad locomotion.

Its controllers have no ring and no onboard cameras. That’s why Quest Touch Pro controllers are better. Quest 3 will be compatible with Touch Pro controllers for the ones that need better accuracy. I expect the tracking of Quest Plus to improve over time thanks to software updates, though.
