While Oculus is getting all the glory for the Quest, its competitors are not sleeping. With a lot of sadness, I’m here watching the photos and the videos of WCVRI , the big Chinese conference about VR that is held every year in Nanchang. Notwithstanding all this hate, the Oculus Quest 2 is selling very well.

Ben Lang has written a very interesting editorial on the topic, and for instance, he imagines that this may mean that all Sony-owned game studios will all start using Unreal Engine as their game engine , unifying the production processes among them all. I can only imagine the possibilities of mixing this with immersive headsets : you could visit every city in VR in a much more realistic way than the one shown by Google Earth VR today.
