Today at HTC’s Vive Developer Meeting in Beijing and its simultaneous Shanghai-based Vive Ecosystem Conference, Chinese eye-tracking startup 7invensun debuted a new eye-tracking module that’s not only affordable at $150 (¥1100 RMB), but is designed to support all of HTC’s VR headsets, past and present.

So I also followed the V2EC, the Vive Ecosystem Conference that happened on ENGAGE, and that represented the Chinese counterpart of Vivecon. Yes, it was at 3 am in my city, but I couldn’t resist attending the VEC conference in which I have always participated in the last 3 years. This is very interesting.

HTC may have more than one new headset in sight than we initially thought when it registered the name ‘Vive Focus’ in the EU and US. It came to light via the Dutch publication Lets Go Digital that HTC has also applied for a trademark for the name ‘Vive Eclipse’ in New Zealand.
