Virtual reality is already being used on the ground to help prepare astronauts for the rigors of space, although now HTC says it’s sending its standalone VR headset Vive Focus 3 to the International Space Station (ISS) to help support the mental health of astronauts during their mission.

Announced at VRLA last summer, Viveport is somewhat of a parallel marketplace to Steam, featuring all-VR content across several genres, including information, edutainment, social media, 360˚ video, news, sports, health, travel and shopping.

HTC Partners to Stream VR Games to Vive in China, Cutting VR-Ready PCs Out of the Equation

Oculus and HTC have already reduced the prices of their respective headsets, with the Oculus Rift now selling for $500 and HTC Vive for $600. According to a report by Engadget , HTC will be trialing the new project in Dalian, China where it will offer access to games hosted on a digital marketplace separate from Viveport.
