Magic Leap confirmed the departure of Jeff Gattis, vice president of product marketing, to Recode and cited "personal reasons" regarding the reason for his sudden departure. Gattis's resume includes stints at HTC, Qualcomm, Microsoft, and TiVo.

Numerous acquisitions and hires point to a company who recognises mobile technology, such as its iPhone, is now reaching or indeed past its zenith in commercial potential, and (much like former mobile giant HTC has) needs to find another route to remaining relevant in the space in the future. You may hate or love Magic Leap, but the fact that it has released a product is for sure a great news for all the ecosystem : if after all those investments, that startup failed, it would have had a ripple effect on all the ecosystem, making investors lose trust in augmented reality. This came as a confirmation of a last week when Magic Leap CEO Rony Abovitz cryptically promised “ fun and cool stuff ” from this secretive augmented reality startup.

HTC has revealed the design of the Vive Cosmos. HTC has finally unveiled some information on the Vive Cosmos. What is interesting is that a removable faceplate means that HTC may release a whole set of different faceplates for different purposes and this would make the Cosmos very powerful (especially if the specs of this faceplate will be made public, so hackers can mod the Cosmos as they want). HTC has immediately answered that 899$ is a too high estimate of the price.
