Virtual Desktop's latest update lets you use Quest 3's Inside-Out Body Tracking and Generative Legs to emulate worn Vive Trackers for SteamVR body tracking. Vive Trackers are mainly used by VRChat users to track body parts such as their torso, elbows, legs, and feet to drive their avatar in real-time. But this incurs a significant added cost. The traditional Vive Trackers cost $130 each and require SteamVR Tracking base stations ($150 each) while the inside-out Vive Ultimate Trackers cost $200 e

YouTube has a ton of videos created for immersive viewing, but without an official YouTube app on Vision Pro, it’s a bit of a song and dance to get them to play. Moon Player however launched a Vision Pro app that, with significantly less hassle, not only unlocks YouTube’s library of VR video, but lets you play basically any video format regardless of origin.

Western Digital has introduced its new series of SSDs aimed at mainstream PCs, which combine high performance and low cost. The Western Digital PC SN5000S family of DRAM-less drives uses the company's 3D QLC NAND memory and an in-house-developed platform, so the SSDs promise to be relatively inexpensive. Meanwhile, their sequential read performance reaches 6,000 MB/s.

Meta is funding a group of Godot veterans to improve the engine's support for OpenXR and Quest feature extensions, as well as to build high-quality samples and documentation. That group is W4 Games, a startup founded in 2021 by Godot's co-creator Juan Linietsky, Godot's Project Manager Rémi Verschelde, Godot's Networking maintainer Fabio Alessandrelli, and serial entrepreneur Nicola Farronato.

Asus on Thursday said it has released new versions of UEFI BIOS for DDR5-supporting Intel 600/700-series motherboards that enable support for 64 GB DIMMs. As a result, Asus's latest platforms for Intel's 12 th , 13 th and 14 th Generation Core processors with four slots for DIMM slots can now work with up to 256 GB of DDR5 memory, and motherboards with two DIMM slots can now support up to 128 GB of memory.

Just Hoops brings a retro-inspired arcade basketball game to Apple Vision Pro. Developed by Realcast, Just Hoops first appeared on Quest App Lab in 2021 and takes inspiration from the classic arcade game, Pop-A-Shot.
