All these four awards are decided at the conference. Sony Electronics Head of Business Development, Thaisa Yamamura, presented the Auggie Award for Best Art or Film. Yamamura also presented the winner with a Sony Spatial Reality Display, a “glasses-free 3D display that will improve their workflow.” Best Art or Film.

Sony kicked off the week by revealing it sold nearly 1 million PSVR headsets, and Oculus introduced huge $100 price cuts to both its Oculus Rift and Oculus Touch hardware. HTC doesn’t have any plans to drop the price of its market-leading Vive headset, but it is still doing its part to bring VR to more people.

The only company not much affected by it is HTC, that manufacturers its headsets in Taiwan and not in Mainland China.

Microsoft is showing some commitment to the idea of Windows Mixed Reality (formally known as Windows Holographic) with not just a single headset, but with five headsets. Back in February, Sony announced that they sold 915,000 PlayStation VR headsets since it launched in mid-October, while Microsoft focused on their HoloLens MR headset.

Not only was Oculus VR company purchased by Facebook, but Sony announced their VR headset for the PS4 under the name ‘Project Morpheus’. In 2016, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and Playstation VR were all released. In 2017, Sony bundled PS4 consoles with PSVR headsets in order to attract more users.

My favorite ones have been: Sony Interactive Entertainment has revealed that the next PSVR headset will be called PSVR 2 and will feature 2K x 2K per eye, up to 120 Hz framerate, and 110° FOV.
