However, while the company has released two generations of developers’ kits, a mainline product has yet to arrive. Until now. (Sorry gamers, it is an enterprise device.).

Belgium-based 3D animation and VR studio Cyborn today announced its sci-fi adventure Hubris is finally set to launch on PC VR headsets on December 7th. In Hubris you serve as a recruit of the Order of Objectivity on your way to the Twin planet system to search for agent Cyana. Making your way through a hostile world in the midst of being terraformed, the game puts heavy focus on environmental storytelling as well as shooting, swimming, climbing, and jumping.

Meta Quest Pro ships today for $1500. Meta formerly referred to Quest Pro as “Project Cambria” – the codename given when it was teased at last year’s Connect. HaptX says it is moving on from developer kits and taking pre-orders for its next generation haptic gloves targeting release in Q3 2023. The G1 Gloves from HaptX start at $5,495 per pair along with an air compressing backpack expected to weigh around 17 pounds. The backpack pushes air into “hundreds of microfluidic actuators that physically displace your skin,” according to the company.

Cyborn announced its upcoming action-adventure VR game Hubris will release on December 7 for PC VR. Hubris is a sci-fi action adventure title that will see you traverse through some stunning space vistas while climbing, running and swimming through environments and fending off enemies with your blasters. The game was originally scheduled for a late 2021 release, but got pushed back into 2022.

This Monday, Apple updated its digital storefront review guidelines to ban certain NFT functions. The App Store Review Guidelines now state that iOS applications cannot use NFTs to unlock unique in-app functions or content. The move enables Apple to keep a tighter grip on in-app purchases. Apple takes 30 percent of the revenue from platform developers who make over $1 million, and NFTs circumvent this fee.

Meta’s premium VR headset has quite a bit to offer. Today marks the launch of the Quest Pro , the first in a new line of “high-end” VR headsets from Meta. The device is powered by an upgraded Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2+ chipset, offering 50% more processing power than the Meta Quest 2.
