Today at CES Sony revealed a new standalone MR headset equipped with “4K” OLED displays. Sony’s unnamed standalone MR headset is based on Qualcomm’s XR2+ Gen 2 processor and is said to include 1.3-inch The Sony MR headset hasn’t been priced but the company says a release date will come this year.

Sony’s Upcoming MR Headset Could Point the Way for Controllers on Vision Pro

Vision Pro doesn’t have controllers, but it’s clear Apple will need to support immersive hardware input somehow in the future, if only for the greater precision it might bring to industry professionals. Vision Pro is a mixed reality headset with a bit of an identity crisis. At least not in the near future.

I could play a bunch of small demos made with different engines, some about gaming, some with small volumetric videos, and I think that for all of them the 3D was of good quality.
