Qualcomm and Niantic bet on the future of augmented reality with AR2. At it, it announced the Snapdragon AR2, a new chip optimized for augmented reality glasses. AR2 is a chip thought so that you can have a pair of lightweight augmented reality glasses that work by being wirelessly connected to your phone via Wi-Fi 7.

When talking about augmented reality, one company that is for sure at the forefront of innovation is Snap. I see this as a way to port the classic in-app-purchases system to augmented reality lenses: you pay and you have more features for your lens, or you get an NFT associated with it, for instance. He said that Apple is going to “ make VR into something everybody wants before it’s something that everybody can afford ”, like the original Oculus The trademark XROS has been registered by a shell company owned by Apple. Meta has silently ended support for Oculus Home on PC. That’s so sad. I will leave you the link to do that below.
