Shopping for real products in the virtual world just became a little easier. Earlier this week, the popular online retailer Amazon launched “Amazon Anywhere,” a new shopping experience that enables customers to purchase physical products from the Amazon store without having to leave their favorite games and apps. This includes VR experiences as well as augmented reality (AR) mobile apps.

Now that’s what I call in-flight entertainment. A little entertainment can go a long way during a lengthy commute, as shown by Reddit user manicmastiff81 who this week shared a video of them watching YouTube from the cockpit of a VR spaceship in the popular open-world science-fiction game No Man’s Sky. In the video, we see manicmastiff piloting their spacecraft toward a large alien spaceport while enjoying an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience featuring comedian Theo Von.

Released yesterday to coincide with Victory in Europe Day, End of Night is an award-winning short cinematic VR story. Directed by David Adler, it focuses on Josef (Jens Jørn Spottag), a refugee escaping from Nazi-occupied Denmark to neutral Sweden in 1943, placing you opposite him in the passenger seat of a rowboat.
