At CES 2019 this week, Pimax is showing off the production versions of their “8K” and “5K” Plus headsets, their upcoming Knuckles-style controllers, as well as hand-tracking and eye-tracking modules. Sony unveils the new controllers of the PSVR2. One month after the reveal of a “next-gen VR headset for the Playstation” (whose name is not known, but I guess it will be PSVR2), Sony has revealed one important detail of its new VR system: the controllers. The controllers will be given to selected developers very soon.

One of the biggest drawbacks of HTC Vive headsets with regard to Oculus Rift are the controllers: while Oculus Touch is ergonomic and can emulate the hands quite well, Vive has controllers that are quite big and are usable only as wands. Today, a year after the last update, we have new info about Knuckles controllers.

It seems that Mark is still working on that vision, so that in the end, Facebook will be able to do on its devices whatever it wants, without compromises and without control.
