As one of only 100 Americans affected by the extremely rare genetic disorder Lesch Nyhan, which results in celebral palsy, Tim uses a wheelchair. Though Tim has no cognitive impairments, people often assume that he is mentally challenged.

At the start of 2017, the Oculus Rift + Touch controllers cost $800, the same as the HTC Vive. Starting today, as part of the ‘Summer of Rift’ sale, the headset and controller bundle is going on sale for just $400 , a huge 50% price drop from what you would have paid just six months ago.

I even asked for the Closure VHS boxed set for Christmas and watched the Happiness In Slavery video on repeat on Christmas morning.I was 14. Right now the pair are on sale for an impressive $399, which is $200 off the standard price. Today, however, Oculus announced that, when that sale ends in six weeks’ time, the Rift and Touch will be available for $499. Starting today and running for the next six weeks, Oculus has announced that an Oculus Rift + Touch bundle will cost only $399. This is a huge (temporary) price cut from the previously established $598 tag, which was an approximately $100 price cut from the previous ~$700 cost that both ran most people. After the six-week long $399 sale the bundle price will return to $598.

Facebook just brought VR and IRL a whole lot closer. Earlier this year, Facebook announced Spaces —giving all us access to friends, video calls, and selfie-sticks in VR. This morning Facebook added something huge to the list: users in Facebook Spaces will now be able broadcast directly to their Facebook timeline in real time using Facebook Live. And as the video below demonstrates, that can be used for more than just fun.
