Today Meta has announced the date of the Meta Connect , the upcoming event by Meta in which it will announce its latest advancements for what concerns VR, AR, and the M-word. HTC today announced it’s releasing both facial and eye-tracking units for its Vive Focus 3 standalone VR headset. Quest 2’s 120Hz refresh rate mode will soon no longer be experimental. The refresh rate of Quest 2 is set per-app by the developer. Meta provides five choices of refresh rate: 60 Hz, 72 Hz, 80 Hz, 90 Hz, and 120 Hz. The 60Hz mode is only allowed for 360 degree videos, not apps & games. The 120Hz mode was added all the way back in April 2021 as ‘experimental’ – meaning users have to opt in via the system s ettings.

First Contact Entertainment revealed its next title today – Firewall Ultra. Releasing exclusively for PSVR 2 , First Contact describes the game as an ‘evolution’ of the franchise, following on from Firewall Zero Hour. Zero Hour , a tactical multiplayer VR shooter, released in 2018 and essentially felt like VR’s answer to Rainbow Six Siege.
