For instance, in the box I’ve found a cleaning cloth for an Oculus device… and I don’t think it actually comes with a Microsoft HoloLens! I totally want them to care more about our privacy, and I’m all in with Avi Bar-Zeev in having better management of eye tracking data on the Quest Pro. The difference with Magic Leap was that no one was caring about how much money was Microsoft spending on its R&D for Kinect and similar projects.

It’s good news by the way that there is continuous IPD adjustment (and with a wider range than before) and that thanks to eye tracking sensors, the headset can tell you if you have positioned it well on your head. There is also an eye-relief dial, so you can put the lenses very close to your eyes, for added field of view.

I’ve preordered my basic $299 one (€349 in Italy) and it will arrive on October, 15th. This device looks like a big pair of glasses (it reminds me the Bose Rondo) and it has installed on a lot of sensors: 2 IR external cameras, 2 IR internal cameras (for eye tracking), 1 RGB camera, 7 microphones, 2 IMUs.
