United States aerospace firm Boeing has begun conducting field testing to repair its aircraft with augmented reality (AR) technologies, its Australian branch announced on Thursday last week. The three firms will build a framework for implementing Red 6’s Advanced Tactical Augmented Reality System (ATARS) in the joint venture.

Then the Vision Pro beta for the Unity game engine has not been distributed yet, so many Unity developers can’t build applications for the Vision Pro, yet. First of all, the labs are dedicated only to devs who are already developing applications for the Vision Pro , which is a very expensive headset.

Among this free content, the real interesting stuff is $500 in free Azure credits , while the other things are highly questionable (like 3 months of Unity Pro license… it is more a free trial than a real added value!!). The option to “rent it” by paying $100/month is coming next year.

Holoride has now announced that it is working with Unity and Pico to release its Elastic SDK and offer devkits to let developers create experiences for the Holoride store , that will also be powered by blockchain. These are all problems to be figured out. But for sure the concept remains intriguing and very original.
