The most popular headset used on Steam right now is the Oculus Rift S [Amazon] which costs $400 brand new. So, what are the arguments against VR commonly seen in 2020?

Market research reports have shown that in 2015 the revenue was $0.66 As virtual reality technology gained prominence, the use of VR devices like the Samsung Gear VR, Oculus VR, and HTC Vive, have also become popular. Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft are expected to reduce the prices for their game products in the coming years.

In 2015, China saw 200-300 firms jump to produce their own VR HMDs. With notable exceptions, these are often companies producing cheap replicas of existing mobile hardware like Google Cardboard and Samsung Gear without any additional, unique features. Expectedly, the many seized the opportunity for a feeding frenzy. It’s growing.

We don’t have a clear idea on precisely how many units have been sold for the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, PlayStation VR, Daydream View, or any other major headset on the market. Homido mini (pocket-sized solution, first released in 2015) has sold 244,000 units total. Regardless, this does paint an interesting picture.
