The Nreal Light glasses launched first in Korea, Japan, Germany, and Spain. Phone as controller, hand-tracking. Finally Pico OS 5 will support hands tracking, so you can interact with the runtime and the games with your bare hands. Also, Pico is aiming at markets where Meta is still not that strong , like Europe, or Germany, where Quest is not allowed yet. This was a much awaited feature.

The most interesting ones for me are related to hand tacking. Meta Quest will receive Hand Tracking 2.2, which makes the hand tracking more responsive to fast movements of hands : the system can so track the hands also when the user is playing fitness games like FitXR (or HitMotion: Reloaded).

There are also some small problems with the interactions: sometimes a click from my controllers gets interpreted as a drag operation because I slightly moved my hand while pressing the trigger button, so I have to keep my controllers very steady if I want to click on a button. Anyway, I have found the UX to be overall ok.
