Using the HTC Vive and a wall of silver rectangles, this installation was all about playing with points of reference and altering how your brain processes its surroundings. Using the built-in camera on the HTC Vive headset I was able to view myself back in reality, standing inside the Waterfront Tunnel space.

Ubisoft’s latest VR game is however closer linked to an earlier breed of shooter and much less so than its contemporary brethren of today—ostensibly an homage to the founders of the genre like Unreal Tournament (1999) and Quake (1996). Again, it’s just too early to tell where it will land.

But there is not only Samsung: XR2 Gen 2 is going to be integrated also by Immersed’s Visor, a new HTC Vive headset, a YVR headset in China, and a headset that is still undisclosed. UEVR is a universal VR mod, and it lets everyone easily convert every Unreal Engine-based PC game (including the AAA ones) into a VR experience.

It is a big showcase demo for its Unreal Engine 5, and I have to say it is pretty impressive. We are all talking about the m**averse, and for sure the ability to build entire alive cities that can be visited in multiplayer will be an important brick in the whole m**averse construction. So no VR and even no PC, and this is a pity.
