It is some kind of magic. Me trying the Realmax glasses in Nanchang, China… am I not supercool? This is a simpler mechanism than the waveguides employed by Microsoft HoloLens 2 or by Magic Leap, and while it may provide a bit less immersive holograms, it is the only way to provide affordable wide-FOV glasses at the moment.

At WCVRI, China shows its strategic interest for VR. And while China always moves chaotically, I think that the push of the government is helping its VR companies. When I reviewed the Nreal glasses in China, I underlined that the tracking was one of its weak points: the objects moved quite a lot while I was moving in the environment. The NRSDK is Nreal’s SDK that lets you develop applications using the popular Unity game engine. The good news is that this has improved a lot.
