Researchers at The Human Computer Interaction Lab at Hasso-Plattner-Institut in Potsdam, Germany, published a video recently showing a novel solution to the problem of wearable haptics for augmented reality. With Gear VR, you use your phone to experience VR apps, but your phone is a device that has to do a bazillion things (handle calls, messages, videos, VR, etc…), so it has to be good for lots of use. Magic Leap releases its SDK. We still haven’t seen a Magic Leap device , but at least now we can see its SDK.

In the latest invitation to WWDC 2021 , the yearly Apple developers’ conference, there is a picture of an animoji wearing glasses in front of a Mac. So it seems that the user will be able to see the videos he/she is recording, with the actual AR filters already applied in real-time. The hype is rising, and Apple is playing with it.
