Meta's Head of AR Glasses Hardware claims they give the same "Oh my God, wow! reaction as the original Oculus Rift. Kalinowski was previously the Head of VR Hardware at Oculus for the consumer Oculus Rift, Oculus Touch, Oculus Go, Rift S, Oculus Quest, Quest 2, and Quest Pro. I can't believe this!"

Oculus has gained in these years always more success in the consumers’ landscape, and now with the Oculus Quest , thanks to an affordable device running great content , it is making strides in the market. Here you are my recap of the most interesting XR news of the week! Apple has killed its AR glasses project… maybe. If the report were true, this would mean that Apple doesn’t believe in AR anymore and this would be terrible news for all the immersive realities ecosystem. Oculus is working on 2nd gen VR. So, don’t panic.

David of Upload says that thanks to its big boost in specifications , PS5 can offer an amazing flat screen experience : better resolution, better framerate, better graphics, better load times, better controller. All the PSVR system is retrofitted into the new console , and so it is like if it can run only in some compatibility mode.

According to the Taiwan Stock Exchange, HTC will halt trading of its stock as of September 21st, pending an unknown announcement from the company, reports Bloomberg. Google—which is increasingly expanding its hardware business in the smartphone, connected home, and AR/VR sectors—has been fingered as one of the likely buyers.

Today at Computex 2017, the annual IT expo held in Taipei, Taiwan, Microsoft revealed more from their line-up of affordable Windows ‘Mixed Reality’ headsets, including Asus’ headset and an updated design from Dell. That means there’s no need for a high-end dedicated GPU like with the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive.
