I don’t see this device stealing the scene from Oculus, since Oculus is cheaper, but I’m quite sure this new headset will be able to grab a good market share.

So at least the collaboration with Valve is true, but notice that it has not been on the headset, so they got no reference design from Valve, it has just been on the software integration. He complained about having to obey platforms and their taxes (clearly hinting at Apple), saying that he had a different vision. Apple is entering the XR field, and Facebook is currently dominating the VR market. Apple headset may be very lightweight. According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the upcoming Apple visor should weigh around 3–400g, which is much lighter than current headsets on the market, including the Quest 2.

For us developers, there is also now the possibility of opening WebXR links easily from the PC by writing their URLs in the Oculus Developer Hub. Digilens shows a reference design for AR glasses.
