The device will be available next year only in the US, then at the end of the year in other countries (like the UK), making me think that a more global rollout may happen in 2025. The Unity Beta to develop for the Vision Pro is still not available, so many devs like me can’t even play with the emulator.

Because of these problems and the delays, a cheaper version of the Vision Pro, which was expected for 2025, may have been canceled. The device is very hard to manufacture and requires components that are very hard to find, so the maximum expected shipments for 2024 will be in the order of magnitude of 400,000–600,000 units.

But in China, they are very famous, and now they are also organizing a big event about XR called FBEC with hosts from all the major VR companies (HTC, Unity, Alibaba, Huawei, etc…). We think the AR consumer market will start in 2025 , and in the beginning, AR glasses will work in coordination with smartphones.
