PlayStation VR has been the most successful headset until now (if we exclude the crappy mobile viewers), but now it is pretty dated and people were wondering what Sony was going to do. Some people started to think that Sony could have abandoned VR.

It’s still more or less the game of of Microsoft. Jay noted: They are having a hard time with several restructurings. Additional money had to come in, and so on and so on.

On the other side, I’m afraid that for consumers this means also paying more for the VR content they like : if before training a year with FitXR was costing $30, now it will cost $120. On the server-side, it is being integrated with Microsoft Azure, and it is also coming in the future for Google Cloud and Tencent Cloud.

HP has fixed many of the visual problems of the headse t, and Microsoft has just released a patch on Windows 10 that aims at solving many visual issues of all WMR headsets (like Chromatic aberration). But honestly, I expected a bit more … it’s a bit weird that Microsoft hasn’t solved its biggest pain point yet. More info.
