Sony’s next-gen VR headset arrives in Q1 2023. After long last Sony has revealed the price and release date of the PlayStation VR2, its latest and greatest VR headset for PlayStation 5 consoles. The next-gen device was first announced in February 2021. Since then the company has shared a number of details, including the official specs as well as several confirmed titles.

Rec Room is soon removing access to its limited ‘Junior Accounts’ on Quest, effectively blocking kids 12 and under from playing the social VR game on any of Meta’s headsets. Rec Room says in a statement that Meta is requiring the social VR platform—and all apps on the platform—to block access to children 12 and under or be removed from the Quest Store, which is slated to go into effect November 14th.

The highly-anticipated device will be available this coming February starting at $549.99. As part of the announcement, the company announced 11 new PS VR2 games coming in 2023. Sony today announced the long-awaited price and release date for PSVR 2, its next-gen VR headset for PS5. Pre-orders for PSVR 2 are slated to start on November 15th, priced at $550 for the headset and controllers, or $600 for the Horizon Call of the Mountain hardware bundle. PlayStation VR2 is officially launching on February 22nd, 2023. Both the Horizon Call of the Mountain and optional PSVR 2 Sense controller charging station will also launch the same day.

The PS5-powered VR system launches February 22, 2023 and includes the PS VR2 Sense controllers with stereo headphones.
