In the meantime, even HTC that was safe until now is having troubles in manufacturing the external tracking faceplate , whose release date will be delayed. Regarding the compatibility of older PS4 titles (including VR ones), Sony has clarified that most of titles will be compatible, but some of them won’t work on Day 1.

The company has also showcased a tech demo to make us enthusiasts get hyped for the future of Facebook’s standalone devices. Magic Leap raises other $350M. It’s all very cool.

If the rumor is true, Meta by 2024 is going to basically release the Nreal glasses or a mix of Nreal Light and Magic Leap 2. Whoever has tried its demo said it is mindblowing, according to Heath, so we hope this will actually be released soon. HTC Vive is going to launch… a box. HTC implements OpenXR on the Vive Focus 3.

This idea is used in mainline Quests, Pico headsets, Valve Index, HP Reverbs, Oculus Go, and the original Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. It was first widely shipped in PlayStation VR, and Sony still uses it for PSVR 2. It crushes the sinuses under your lower forehead and cheeks. Halo straps put all the pressure against your upper forehead.
