They are going to be hit very hard by this new pricing model It’s a model that “punishes” games for their success : the more a game is successful, the more the creator has to pay.

I think that for the first time we have really a device that can be more interesting than a Quest for certain categories of people. Like last week, also this week in this final paragraph I won’t ask you to donate for my blog, but to the poor people that are facing the consequences of the war. Bonelab is coming on Thursday. With a long post on Magic Leap’s blog, in the end Rony Abovitz has admitted that the company is not going that well, and has announced a new course, that should eventually lead to Magic Leap 2. There is a lot to say about this, and in fact, plenty of editorials have been written online. Let me briefly tell you my thoughts.

I’m not there (I’ve still never been to CES…), but as usual I will follow the news and report it on this blog, so stay tuned! Devin Reimer, the previous CEO of Owlchemy Labs, has written an editorial on Upload VR saying that controllers are going to die and that hand tracking will be the main input form for XR in the future.

It targets the category of people for which VR is already more appealing… with a game of the franchise they love. Half-Life is a game that targets a very specific category of people, and it is only one (even if very important) piece of content. I think that we’ll see many more headsets sold.
