Back in August on the Gamescom show floor, I happened to stumble across a small booth for a then-unannounced game called Big Shots from Belgium-based studio AlterEyes. It's clear that Big Shots is a game committed to keeping everything as immersive as possible. I'd run out of time to check it out last year, so this year I didn't delay.

I think that if I spent $1000 + $180/year for a piece of hardware worth $400 for consumers, I would like to have a bit more freedom , and also decide myself where to save my data. This is huge for 3D artists because this way they can immerse into their scenes, getting immediately the sense of scale of things.

I’m back from Belgium, where I took part in the nice Stereopsia event! Facebook has not done well in the past in guaranteeing user privacy and I’m afraid of what it can do with my data, especially when in the future there will be eye tracking, emotion tracking and such. One month ago, I’ve participated in the Stereopsia event in Bruxelles (Belgium) to perform a talk about how to organize an event in virtual reality. But when you start the rendering, this special camera renders the scene from many points of view around its original position outputting a lot of volumetric data. Nice stuff, though.
