For sure, not having Microsoft backing it will slow down a lot of its development.

This week, a rumor spread among XR communities: next-gen PSVR will be announced at a press conference to be held by Sony on February, 5th. Unity changes how it handles XR Plugins. PSVR 2 could be revealed next month.
