The world’s largest VR & AR conference is back again May 4-5 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The two-day conference’s full slate of keynote speakers also include live performances. There’s quite no conference like VRLA. Attendees can sign up for Circuit Stream’s workshops when they register for VRLA.

More evidence of Facebook’s big plans for VR/AR: they plan on selling almost half a million Oculus Rift units by the end of 2016. Unity’s most recent update makes the cross-platform game engine even more equally optimized, so with only one API you can simply build for multiple platforms with hardware-specific tweaks held to a minimum.

This has been a pretty interesting week for me, having spoken at XR Safety Week and Stereopsia, and having published two cool articles about creating innovative SteamVR controllers and using Application SpaceWarp in Unity to almost double the framerate of your application. Microsoft and Samsung may be partnering for an AR device.
