For who wasn’t doing AR at that time: Metaio had an amazing SDK for phone-based AR, but then it got acquired by Apple and it disappeared from the market. I saw myself inside the Tuscany demo, and I felt in love with VR, like IMMEDIATELY. The first demos were even from 2014, this is from 2016 and already used the Rift CV1.

It is more refined than the original Vive, but it has not that Apple-like approach that has the Rift. Even for public demos, it is better for the above reasons (comfort, all-in-one, etc…). The device appears better manufactured than the original Vive and I also like its blue color: black was too sad.

I think the battle with Apple has just begun. Because most VR developers know well Unity or Unreal, and WebVR languages like A-frame are based on Javascript, that is very different from the usual programming flow of the game engines. This is very useful to train the kid in recognizing the emotions of the people surrounding him/her.
