We all joked about Samsung waiting for the Apple Vision Pro announcement to copy it, but according to some rumors, this is exactly what is happening. This is an interesting mix of tradition and technology. But having these new displays is a huge undertaking, and the production may only start later this year.

It’s a while that I virtually know Chris Koomen , a talented professional that works with immersive technologies at KLM. In 2015 my girlfriend came with a Cardboard and with no experience with Unity I created my first 360 photo which I’ve shown to my manger. There started to grow the use of interactions in 360 videos.

We don’t know who originated the leak… but honestly, considering the perfect timing to generate hype for Facebook Connect, and the fact that it just shows a bit without showing too much… well, I have some suspects… (Do you remember the “leak” about Quest 2 some days before Facebook Connect 1 and timely before Apple Event?

Think as if you had infinite resources and aim at the infamous “5 to 10 years” timespan (see Vitillo’s law of technology ). Unity XR and Unity XR Interaction Toolkit would have been the ground of everything XR-related because they ensure cross-platform integration of XR interactions among all the headsets.
