This year was going to be the year of augmented reality, but by the end of 2018 market analysts were pointing to 2020 or 2021 as the “golden year” of AR. Magic Leap finally dropped to mixed reviews and BrainXchange published its Definitive Guide to Adopting Wearables, AR and VR in Enterprise.

It seems that according to it, Oculus Quest , considered by many the first VR headset that can become mainstream, has sold only 180,000 units in Q3 of this year, for a total number of 400,000 units sold since launch.
