Some people started to think that Sony could have abandoned VR.

In other news, Google recently released an update to its Quest 3 YouTube application, which allows users to stream 8K videos to their Meta Quest 3. However, while the update suggests that it is possible to stream 8K video to Quest 3 headsets, the device’s quality is capped at 4K, meaning that the YouTube update could be experimental.

Especially the first feature made most people go in awe : volumetric videos are very expensive, so they’re typically not used during XR events. Recorded or not, the result was so cool that videos of Ignite conference became viral in all the XR community. Bank Of America to use VR training. they had no problems in using it.
