While still in Italy, I verified that Microsoft Teams, Unity, and Github were accessible from China. And I have to say that this strategy is paying off. I have to warn you that the quality of the tethered connection is not the same as Quest Link (there is more latency and more blur), but it’s ok enough to work.

In the end, I still believe in the old predictions of Unity CEO John Riccitiello: Look at this graph shown by Mr. Riccitiello in 2017: the purple line is the one of the analysts, while the white one is the one forecasted by him. HTC will focus more on the enterprise market. Content is the best strategy to give value to a VR platform.

In 2020 its CEO Rony Abovitz, that on one side was the futurist that made all of this possible, and on the other side ideated this bold suicidal strategy of targeting consumers with AR, has stepped down and now the company is in the hands of Peggy Johnson , that has completely changed the strategy and now wants to aim to the enterprise market.
