SpicyTails , the studio behind the popular VR visual novel experience Project LUX (2018) , today announced a new project dubbed Spice & Wolf VR. As first reported by Japanese VR publication MoguraVR , the project is based on the manga and anime series Spice and Wolf. SpicyTails, an indie studio which involves original series author Isuna Hasekura, says their newest VR project will also include the anime’s original Japanese voice actors.

Biba partners with Sony Picture Animation to bring Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation to smart playgrounds across the US. Since its founding in 2014, the folks over at Biba Ventures has dedicated themselves towards integrating AR games and mobile apps into interactive playgrounds across the United States. Using their smartphones, parents can scan specialized access points located at certain “smart” playgrounds to access a variety of family-orientated games.

3rd Eye Studios, the Helsinki-based developers behind Downward Spiral: Horus Station (2018) , today announced the PS4 and PSVR version of the game is slated to land on PSN in August. San Francisco’s Museum of Modern Art wants to bring you closer to paintings. How close? Literally inside. The iconic museum is running an exhibit of surrealist Rene Magritte that also offers visitors an augmented reality trip into his provocative, often jarring, art. People can step in front of AR pieces inspired by the artist to enter and interact with famous interpretations of works such as “Shéhérazade,” which depicts an exotic woman behind pearls in the sky — or a viewer taking her place.

Amazon Prime Day is here; this year HTC’s latest VR headset Vive Pro is getting a special deal. From now until July 17th at 8:59 PM PT ( local time here ), US Amazon Prime Members can get a $50 Amazon gift card and $50 Viveport gift card with purchase of a Vive Pro VR headset. HTC announced last week that Amazon will begin selling Viveport titles , so technically those combined $100 could go entirely to games from Viveport, the company’s own app marketplace.
