I ended up at Valve Software running their hardware department, putting the team together that created the HTC Vive. Ellsworth: I’m another huge Star Trek nerd, and Star Wars of course. Jeri, at Valve they did have that sort of choice point, and they chose to do Steam VR and get behind the HTC Vive. Ellsworth: VR is amazing.

But at the presentation of the latest Samsung Note 10, for the first time after the Note 4, Samsung has dropped support for Gear VR in its latest flagship device. And Samsung is not abandoning XR for sure.
