This is a period with many tech announcements: we had Meta telling about its Horizon OS, yesterday OpenAI unveiled the new GPT-4o, and today Google will hopefully unveil its Android XR operating system. What a time to be alive! If I had to bet 1 euro, I would say that Meta aims at a business model based on user-generated content, like Roblox.

A bizarre strategy, that doesn’t surprise me anymore, though. Well, after that article, I discovered that the CTO of MeLeap , the company behind HADO, is one of my readers! :O Between that, I worked on consumer cloud software with Google for five years… managing engineering teams for Gmail, Japanese mobile, Google Labs, and social (Blogger etc.) teams for Japan.

I asked my sources what “Cyberspace” means and what is the difference with the other terms and I’ve been told that here Valve is using a strategy similar to the one by Apple.

Image by Google). Meta and Google announce layoffs. This week we had the announcement of both Meta and Google laying off people. It seems that Meta is having a very confused social strategy for what concerns the Horizon ecosystem and is trying different things to see what sticks (probably no one of the above).
