It’s hot and the drought is creating some issues here in northern Italy. We have lots of non-news about Apple’s XR efforts. The hype around Apple glasses is huge , and everything that gets shared about Apple and XR gets many views. This is the story of my life for half of the posts I read about Apple. Useless news.

After having announced some of the features and the price just before the launch of the Apple Vision Pro, now the company formerly known as Facebook is already working towards the launch of the device. Best Buy has already published the page about Quest 3, marked as “Coming Soon”.

This is ridiculous, not only because the Pro costs a lot of money, but also because it is sold as a “work device” I don’t know how things work where Zuck lives, but here in Italy, a typical workday is 8 hours, not 2. Unless Apple kills it, of course… Productivity ecosystem. Partnership with Microsoft.

Microsoft wants to play safe, though, so it is now launching it only in two small countries , so that to identify possible problems only in a small subset of the worldwide population before the big launch.

HTC has launched a new headset, we have another confirmation of Apple glasses, we read about the first hands-on on Kura glasses, and many other things have happened! All of this shows how Apple is most probably testing internally its AR glasses and so the launch may be not that far away (probably in 2020).
