These new headsets have hybrid virtual and mixed reality features, natural interactions and come at a high price : Vision Pro costs $3500 and the Samsung headset is rumored to be around $2000.

Tencent should start selling the headset beginning in late 2024 , with Meta getting most of the device revenue, while Tencent most of the content revenue. Samsung wants to produce initially only 30,000 units of the device, to gauge the interest of the community, and ramp up the production only if the first feedback is positive.

The report talks about Samsung wanting to target the $1000–2000 range, which in my opinion risks being neither expensive nor affordable.
