Vive Hand Tracking SDK video review. I’ve made a nice Youtube video with me saying random stuff and exploring the Vive Hand Tracking SDK at first in Unity and then in action using my hands in VR. I have to admit that at least Zuck tried to do this in the best way possible : he has taken full responsibility for the problems in a video call where he announced the layoffs and has offered a good severance package for people going away. This video about a “virtual reality viewer” from 1830 has been one of the viral content of the week.

Otherwise, now the situation is more or less like before, with the exception of some places where there are still some Oculus devices in stock (for instance in Japan and Taiwan). Facebook has for instance taken the first route, and t his week it will make all the announcements that it would have made at GDC via videos and posts.

This means having AR and VR on the same device ; A 5G modem ; 8K videos playback at 60fps; Accelerated AI so that to be able to perform objects recognition and other cool stuff on the camera feed.
