More info Meta may partner soon with Magic Leap The Financial Times this week reported a very unexpected piece of news: Meta may be working on a partnership with Magic Leap for the production of AR glasses. Magic Leap has factories in the US and Mexico able to produce AR glasses. That’s so sad.

The feature itself does not count, Apple counts Apple is a hype machine (Original image by Apple) The Apple brand is super strong everywhere in the world (including in China) and people feel cool flexing their own Apple devices. Maybe Magic Leap, before people got to know that the device was sort of a HoloLens 1+, had such attention to it.

And the price of the wireless add-on is even more suspicious: speaking with a hardware manufacturer, they told me that ONLY THE ANTENNAS of a Wi-Gig connection for VR streaming (like the one of the Vive Pro) costs around $100… so how can the whole wireless streaming device cost just $50?? At WCVRI, China shows its strategic interest for VR.

In my opinion , the true error is with the Vive 1 , that will get a price that is higher than the one of all the competitors… and that will cost as much as a Samsung Odyssey, notwithstanding its far lower features.
