HTC has finally revealed the price of the Vive Pro : it will cost $799 just to have the headset (no controller and no base stations, so you must already have a Vive 1 kit) and will be available for pre-orders since April, 5th. If we sum the market share of the Oculus Rift CV1, Rift S, and the highlander DK2, we obtain that now Oculus controls 50% of the market on Steam. And i ts 2021+ timeline for XR makes me wonder if Huawei plans to release its headset around that date … that is more or less the same that we predict for Apple glasses.

Since Facebook doesn’t control Oculus anymore, because everything is becoming Meta, the Facebook login won’t be mandatory for “Oculus” devices anymore.
