Amazon promises “single-digit latency” XR streaming. Unity now supports Vulkan for Oculus Quest. Samsung Odyssey+ is now at $230. There is not enough market yet.

This made sure investors gained some trust for immersive reality startups again, something that will be beneficial for our whole industry. I think that the upcoming release of Quest 3, and the increasing rumors about Samsung are going to improve our situation even more. First of all, the Web3 VR platform has announced version 3.0

This has been a pretty interesting week for me, having spoken at XR Safety Week and Stereopsia, and having published two cool articles about creating innovative SteamVR controllers and using Application SpaceWarp in Unity to almost double the framerate of your application. Microsoft and Samsung may be partnering for an AR device.

This trend will continue in 2021 : the new LiDAR sensor, which is rumored to be installed in all future iPhones, will for sure be copied also by Android phones (Samsung?) Even the HoloLens 2 , considered the top glasses in the industry, have optics that have been completely destroyed by the expert Karl Guttag.
