But at the presentation of the latest Samsung Note 10, for the first time after the Note 4, Samsung has dropped support for Gear VR in its latest flagship device. And Samsung is not abandoning XR for sure.

If virtual reality is still in the early stages, augmented reality is even before that , and the technology is growing very slowly. This shows how the technology is just slowly improving. My duck-face while wearing Magic Leap One glasses. The only exception to this slow growth is the mobile AR filters.

Microsoft and Samsung may be partnering for an AR device. According to Korean media, Samsung Electronics is working with Microsoft on a new augmented/mixed reality project “involving HoloLens”. Samsung is one of the most famous suppliers of components for electronic devices (e.g. Samsung Odyssey+). News worth a mention.

This is the same chip of the Samsung S8 and it is not the latest available for VR: Qualcomm has already released the 845 VR reference design.
