Maybe with eye-tracking, AI, 5G connection, and a battery that lasts all day. In my opinion, nReal won’t make AR mainstream in 2020. And it just works with your phone.

Another brand I’m very curious about is Samsung : sooner or later, it should announce something, either in VR or in AR. Samsung has always released interesting products (think about the GearVR or the Odyssey), and it would be cool for it to release a standalone headset with mixed reality features. Eye tracking.

Samsung has also teased to be interested in releasing a new AR/VR standalone device. The only exception to this rule seems to be the Samsung Odyssey+, that offers features somewhat comparable to the ones of the Vive Pro, but costs only $500. The Odyssey has anyway the problem of the non-optimal tracking of controllers.
