Here’s what PSVR players have to look forward to this week: VACATION SIMULATOR from Owlchemy Labs. Originally released on SteamVR and Oculus this past April, Vacation Simulator arrives on PlayStation VR tomorrow ( June 18th ).

Top news of the week (Image by Meta) Quest 3 launch is approaching Meta is following a strategy for the launch of the Quest 3 that is very different from the one that it used for the previous headsets. I just think that Meta is trying a new strategy to keep the hype high until September.

First of all, Sony CFO Hiroki Totoki has said that he thinks that PSVR 2 may sell more than the 5–6 million units that the original PSVR sold. This shows that Sony is pretty bullish about its device, and it is confident that it will be appreciated by a good share of its base market. This is great news for VR in general.

And Sony will give a “Sneak peek” of PSVR 2 games at its upcoming State Of Play event on June 2nd at 3 PM PT. It seems that Sony is hoping for a Q4 release in time for the holidays, but analyst Ming-Chi Kuo thinks that delays will bring the release to Q1 2023. The “metaverse” was not a key topic inside “Microsoft Build”.

So, PSVR2 probably won’t launch before 2022 : Sony can afford that also because it has no competition in the console VR space , so there is no need to rush.
