Really, the 6 DOF positional tracking of the headset feels incredibly fluid and also doesn’t drift. I already dedicated an article about how the tracking technology of Google is awesome. It has for sure a great expertise in these technologies. This is for sure the best in class 6 DOF tracking technology.

I also doubt that a startup can carry many innovations, given the high costs of R&D in immersive technologies, but I would be happy to be surprised! Unity now supports Vulkan for Oculus Quest. Unity has finally implemented Vulkan support for the Oculus Quest, in Unity 2019.3. Samsung Odyssey+ is now at $230.

The Unity renderer implementation of foveated rendering, on the other hand is much rougher, and in multiple Unity apps I saw very obvious and harsh artifacts, particularly on text. Given this only happens in Unity Full Space apps, I suspect this can be solved in future software. The main form is hand and arm occlusion.

At first, we had good news: Unity finally revealed its first two AI tools: Muse, which lets you create assets (textures, animations, code) directly in the editor using textual queries.
