I had the pleasure of participating to the “VR Visionaries” event in Kaohsiung and then I headed to Taipei to meet some XR companies (like HTC ) and people. 3D objects had washed out colors , a bit like when you see AR objects through HoloLens 1 and Magic Leap One … they appeared a bit semi-transparent. It felt like magic.

As I’m thinking back to it now, this was actually on HTC VIVE — first gen, which was only maybe 3, 4 years ago now — and I was so impressed with the first generation of hardware that I was like, “well, this is ready for prime time.” The government spent millions and billions of dollars on it at different levels.
